Dancing will not make you a leader, TMC's Kakoli Ghosh tells Cong minister Deepa Dasmunsi

Kolkata: Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Kakoli Ghosh may have embarrassed her party again. On Sunday, while addressing a public rally, the TMC MP took a swipe at her Congress rival Deepa Dasmunsi and said that dancing and make-up cannot form leaders. "Dancing won't make you a leader. It won't work. You can't say bad things about the TMC. Also, you need to think about humanity," Ghosh said.
This is not the first time Ghosh has courted controversy through her careless remarks. In the aftermath of the brutal Delhi gangrape, Ghosh had proceeded to call the Park Street rape case a "misunderstanding between the lady and her client".
The remarks may not help the TMC which is already battling controversy over a dance performance recently organised by its student wing in a Kolkata college, where a girl poured water over herself.
The TMC recently also suspended one of its leaders after he was caught on camera throwing currency notes at and heckling women dancers at the party's foundation day function.
